Sādhanā (साधना /சாதனா) is a Sanskrit word meaning a disciplined practice. In Bharatanatyam, sādhanā is the lifelong journey of practice, dedication and refinement through which the dancer develops technique, expression and a deeper connection to the art. A process of discovery and inner transformation, where the dancer can become an artist.
Sadhana School of Dance was established to share and impart the lessons and learnings Christopher has received from all of his teachers throughout his journey with dance.
Classes are conducted by Christopher in Sydney for select students.

Abhinaya Classes
Delving into the world of expressive dance, these classes share the pedagogy learnt from Smt. Bragha Bessell. The classes explore Padams, Javali and other compositions, encouraging students to delve deeper into the world of dance, exploring nuance, discussing traditions and building imagination. These classes are for experienced dancers.
Nritta Classes
Nritta classes will commence in 2027 — more information soon. Classes will be held in the Strathfield area and will be composition-focused, with two batches: 15+ and Adult, with an OPEN Adavu hour in between. More information soon.
Workshops
WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE is a unique workshop where Christopher explores animal embodiment and play with advanced students of movement. The scope of this workshop is not exclusive to Bharatanatyam dancers, though it will play with the grammar and bodywork found within Indian classical dance styles.
