“I have wanted to create a space for dance in Sydney as a way of giving back to the community. The intention of Mārabu is to celebrate and platform exceptional dance from Australia.
I hope this festival has a lasting impact and continues for many editions, creating opportunities for dancers who deserve to be seen, both emerging artists from within the school and exceptional dancers from across Australia.

This year, Sādhana is proud to present the Bharatanatyam recital of Vaidehi. I have known her for many years and have watched her journey with dance closely.

Her grandmother, Smt Thangamani Nagarajan, was a highly respected teacher at Kalakshetra during my time at the institution. She was someone I greatly respected and admired for her generosity, warmth and spirit. I feel very fortunate to now guide her granddaughter under the watchful eye of Smt. Ambika Butch in Chennai. Vaidehi is an exceptionally hardworking dancer who is committed to pursuing the form with intention and discipline. 

I am very proud to present her and the work she has put in over the past year, before she travels to Chennai to take part in the Margazhi Season on 28 December at Anusham Arts.”
